This is a beautiful late 19th-century Swiss mechanism full hunter watch made from 0.800 silver with Niello design on the outer casing and has 15 jewels. It’s a heavy watch and is in full working condition.
Used for centuries in Europe Niello design mimics enamel decoration but was actually created from a mixed metal alloy made from silver, copper, lead, and sulfur. Master craftsmen used Niello as a way to add ornate designs to silver items.
