For sale is this stunning solid oak 1800s Victorian stationery box with a rising perpetual calendar. Differing from most that have the calender set with the box. This has a turn-up calendar that raises up when the box is open allowing for more space. The calendar operates from the original dial knobs set on top.
Both doors have storage options for documents on their insides. When open they reveal several scalloped document storage shelves. There are further pen and ink pot storage slots.
A further drawer is set underneath allowing for more documents, maps and items to be stored.
All hinges, parts and locks are original. The box is currently open.
N.B. There is no key however a key can be obtained from a local locksmith for a few pounds/dollars.
The condition is excellent and as it’s solid oak it will easily last for another 100 years if looked after.
