Description
For sale is this beautiful and expertly hand-painted and polychrome enamel (onglaze enameling) Chinese vase. With a large scalloped-shaped base and rim this vase is profusely decorated with all the vibrant colours one could imagine. There are two main panels exquisitely hand-painted with depicting Chinese women seated at a table, one holding a flower. The other panel depicts two Chinese women looking over a veranda of sorts. The colours of iron-red, greens, blues, purples and yellows all sit on a light green ground. The design of the vase is floral with bright detailed flowers and foliage. There are two gilt-coloured handles. On the vase’s base is a six-character blue mark on a white background.
Vase Condition
The vase is in excellent condition with only some slight wearing to the colour of the handles. No chips, cracks or restoration.
