Antique Chinese bronze Shakyamuni Buddha Statue with Ming dynasty c16th/17th-century mark. The statue is finely modeled as Buddha seated upon a lotus throne. Buddha’s hand’s gesture of depicts the ‘Turning the Wheel of Dharma’ while in meditation. On the back of the statue is a 4 character mark denoting the Ming Dynasty period. The statue shows its age with a nice patina and softer age-worn contours. The underside matches the age-worn exterior which is good from an authenticity point of view.
