For sale is this absolutely stunning c19th century large Famille Rose and gilt Chinese Canton temple jar with lid. Expertly hand-painted and vibrantly enameled overall with reserves of typical foliage, flowers, insects and butterflies holding coins. All this glorious and intricate design surrounds the main cartouches depicting naturistic and family home scenes. There is various gilt on the main body and vase lid, and atop the lid is a gilt foo-dog. The vase is Qing dynasty (early 19th century) and is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or restoration. This antique Famille Rose vase would look amazing anywhere.
The finely detailed artwork on this vase showcases the expert craftsmanship of the artisan that created it. It’s simply exemplary. I cannot stress how magnificent this particular vase is; it’s one the best I’ve come across and whoever buys this will be extremely happy.
