Description
For sale is this large ovoid antique Chinese ginger jar with an interior lid. It’s a beautiful vase/jar with a superb profuse blue prunus decoration all-over on a white ground. Two blue concentric circles divide the main body decoration with the lower artful border design to the base. On the shoulder of the vase are a further two blue concentric circles and a further twin blue circles on the matching exterior lid. Underneath the main lid rests an interior lid with a basic finial handle and a Greek border design. This large vase shows age to the base, neck and glaze.
On the underside of the main lid is a leaf pattern and several Chinese marks.
