This sale is for an antique, possibly 19th century, brass black stone finish finely carved statue of a Chinese workman with tools and shoulder bag. The statue has aged well with a wonderful old patina to it. This Chinese workman figure has a hat on his back and is holding a knife tool in one hand and another tool in the other. The carving clearly depicts the work robes he is wearing and shows the shoulder star round his arm leading to a wicker-style bag on his hip with objects inside.
One Piece Crafted Statue
The statue including the base is made from one whole piece (see images) there are no screws or bolts holding the statue to the base as it’s all been from one piece of brass.
