As this large glass bowl was made at the beginning of the 1930s by Rene Lalique it is one of the more sought-after Lalique pieces. Lalique is highly popular amongst all antique collectors and pieces of Lalique glass signed with “R. Lalique” are among the top pieces collectors love. 

This bowl is known as Ormeaux and features raised Fern leaves and was made in 1931 by Rene Lalique

 

This is one of the rarer large deep fruit bowls, (most are shallow), designed by Rene Lalique and is called Ormeaux. It is decorated with Fern Leaves, signed R Lalique France, circa 1930, 24cm diameter. The piece has a clear circular center with a smooth interior and features rows of frosted overlapping curved leaves with pointed tips. Each row of leaf tips points in an opposite direction. The leaves have been molded in relief, giving texture to the exterior. The underside bears the acid-etched R. Lalique mark in block letters along with the word France.

R. Lalique Bowl Condition:

The bowl is in good condition with no cracks or repairs. As an antique item, the piece shows appropriate signs of age consisting of some small surface scratches to the underside base.
