About Murano Glass
Created only on the island of Murano, Murano glass has used a special glassblowing technique that is over 1000 years old. Murano’s glass is made from silica, soda, lime and potassium melted together in a special furnace at a temperature of 1500°C to reach a liquid state. Murano glass is highly collectable and much sought after due to its quality and history.
