This jug is one of the rarer ones from Charles Meigh and depicts ancient scenes of semi-clad females surrounded by putti cherubs. The lower base of the jug has more putti cherubs blowing through seashells and various reeds. The ornate handle has the head of Zeus at its base.
Charles Meigh Jug Condition:
The condition is excellent, it has some aged patina which adds to the overall look and feel of the piece. There is a very fine 5mm surface crack that does not go all the way through the jug to the very top of the rim (see images).
