This handsome pocket watch, with its original leather-covered presentation case, was made by the London company, J. W. Benson. The watch is in lovely original and working condition with a white enamel dial and a sterling silver case. These are sought-after watched and highly collectable timepieces, especially when in working condition.

About J.W. Benson Silversmith

Originally founded in 1749 by two brothers; James William Benson and Samuel Suckley Benson. Benson became a household name in England with regard to its high-quality Swiss movement watches. After 1855 when his brother left J.W. Benson carried on alone. His company, aptly named J.W. Benson was awarded Royal Warrant by Queen Victoria as well as those of the Prince of Wales and the Kings of Siam and Denmark.
