Here is a lovely example of early Clarice Cliff (1930s) in the form of a large and deep octagonal-shaped fruit bowl. Clarice Cliff (20 January 1899 – 23 October 1972) was one of the foremost and respected ceramic designers of the times with her innovative and colourful art-deco style designs.

This sale is for a more unusual octagonal-shaped bowl painted in the ‘Gayday’ design of flowers in colours attributed to the Bizzare range. With a whopping 21cm diameter this bowl would suit any dining or side table or look amazing in a cabinet. It can be used as a fruit bowl or for displaying an arrangement of dried flowers.
