Description
For sale is this very collectable silver Bank of England emergency issue Dollar dated 1804. These silver dollars were issued dollars to replace the countermarked ones that used the Spanish specie. The Spanish coins were easy to counterfeit, so the new emergency Bank of England silver Dollars were overstamped to make it harder for counterfeiters. This coin has historical weight behind it which makes it a highly sought-after coin, no coin collection would be complete without it.
